When my wife & I met I fished every day. She use to go along, bring lunch & all that. After while I taught her to fly fish. We selected a place to live just over the hill from my favorite stream so I could be closer to it. I made the promise that I wouldn't fish alone so much that the kids would be/feel neglected when I found out we were having twins.
The thing is she knew I was a fisherman first & accepted it. Sometimes a month into the Sulpher hatch I get an ill word, or 2 slipped my way. I'm usually growing weary of fishing into the night by then anyhow & slow it down a bit.
Sorry to hear the bad stories guys. Buy A new rod- you'll walk on air for a few days at least.
Ajax- well done. I tell you I could have spooned the thing last night to make sure it stayed warm. My wife won that spot though- she's still happy for the new camera she was dreaming about. Sage can do allot of things- but the wife has her talents too.
Edit- Just tossed some line in the back yard. I threw the freaking line. I've never done that before with any rod. All of a sudden I feel like I could fish my favorite stream without having to leave the recliner- casts a country mile for someone who never casted over 60 feet. Shoots like a freaking potato gun- Well done Sage. 8' 6" to boot
