GS.....it was actually the 18-105 kit lens. I bought the 35mm fixed prime, but have really been liking the kit lens.

no shit? i was just looking at those in the B&H catalog. i don't have much of a zoom and thought it might make a good general fishing lens but i was a little concerned with the sharpness. thanks.
