i can remember a time when people where ashamed to admit they were big government liberals. now they crack jokes and make cartoons about it. awesome...

but that was back when the country wasn't broke, we had good leadership (for the most part), and we still led the world in every single aspect, field, etc.
i miss it those days too, but i don't remember anyone working in a sweatshop in the US, any racial segregation, or any "tainted meat" (whatever that means). that must have happened before my time.
My remaining grandfather is one of the best men this world has ever known. He served in the Navy during WWII, directed church choirs, raised two fine children, and exhibits the finest example I have ever witnessed of self control: doesn't drink a bit, never swears, and deserves to have his picture next to the term "southern gentleman" in the encyclopedia.
He's in his 80's. He spent many years with an energy company and had a hard earned retirement pkg in the form of stock. He's still working because that company was later bought by Enron and his retirement pkg evaporated because of what those f'rs did.
He's the most courteous man I've ever known, and I think he would smack you upside the head with a shovel if he heard you say that shit.
Buy better hooks and bourbon.
