Had to get out and beat winter storm "Plato" or it was going to be a long few days without any fishing. I can bear the cold but the projected 40+ mph winds and more snow will shut me out. I messaged my buddy Tom from Harrison Anglers to see if he wanted to float Friday morning and he replied with a definite. A night out on Valentine's Day with too much liquid didn't make it easy to get up at 0500 to make the 1.5 hr ride out to the river. However getting up for fishing is something I do well. Besides these temps would help clear my head

There was a scheduled water shut off from 7-10 am but they had not done that. However a quick check and it looked like they were now shutting it off for an hour. Left us with very little flow in the upper section. Silver lining was that we could actually see some fish rising. The rises were so sporadic we only gave it a half hearted effort with drys.

Lost another after a bunch of body rolls and landed another not quite as pretty as the last one. Switched it up and threw a streamer for a while as the water had come up and we had some flow but had no return on that effort. Covered some more distance on the river and broke for some lunch.
Not a bad spot for a Friday lunch break,

Trains leaving time to go.
