straight from the marsh

kind of self-explanatory, right? We seem to have some impressive thread-wrappers that lurk around this board. let's try to keep your "first booger" posts at a minimum.

straight from the marsh

Post by CarelessEthiopian » Mon Jan 26, 2015 10:07 am

Does anyone want a bunch of duck feathers? Over a year ago I killed some ducks and harvested some feathers with the intention of giving them to Aggers and 2fish. Aggers won't return my texts, and I'm pretty sure neither of these fuckers tie flies anymore.

I have a set of (green) teal wings, some bronze mallard (not much, not matched but you can make some pairs), and I think mostly flank feathers from teal, pintail, mallard, probably some other random stuff. The feathers have been in the freezer for over a year. There is at least one dead louse in one of the bags. The wings have been in borax for many months.

I did originally promise a bunch of this stuff to Mitchy. He has 24 hrs to speak up while ya'll call dibs here in the thread. I know he doesn't want the teal wings. No splitting, whoever gets it gets all of it.

yes
I usually drop em in the grass and then fish out another cast or two while I wait for them to get tired enough to hold still - that way you can actually tell how long they are against the rod. - JT
