Married wing Salmon/Steelhead Swap

kind of self-explanatory, right? We seem to have some impressive thread-wrappers that lurk around this board. let's try to keep your "first booger" posts at a minimum.

Im back to 0%, guys. I spiked the other progress I had made. They werent up to par.

Do you want to know something? Ive never tied any flies in all the years Ive been tying up until a couple weeks ago where Ive waxed my thread. Wow it really make a world of difference. Upwards and onwards and whatever.

I hate tying the effing things.

It looks weird because there is no varnish on the head and I used flank feathers from a shot duck rather than shop-bought bronze mallard since I dont have that. I was just practicing here.

All my turkey and goose feathers are so horrible and I hate using them.

Guys, can I just tie some classic feather wing flies that are nice rather than 'married wing' classics?
