No, we don't. The whole point of civilization and the design of an effective government is to avoid that end. The pendulum is swinging.austrotard wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 9:15 pmyou lot could use a wee touch of civil war.

and all a pendulum does is swing side to side.
makes for riveting discussion, hey.
the bottom line is the US needs to educate its citizens.
you know, beyond the capabilities of just posting forwarded opinions on the web.
you'll say there's no class divide there but it is blatantly obvious there is.
if I keep you stoopid and afraid I can stand over you.

Current America doesn't want it's citizens educated beyond this capability. It keeps the elite safe from the possibility of the masses having the power to reason and figure out who is pushing the buttons behind the curtain.

Sad it takes a Austrian to point this out. Been saying for years this is a society of soundbytes pitting people against each other. Except I guess now it's tweets and memes.

I heard the other day that there are an estimated 8000-10,000 people of the sort that showed upon Charlottesville in there privately acquired commando outfits. That doesn't bode well for them long term.peetso wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 9:37 pmDo you still have those two things???SLSS wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 9:32 pmNo, we don't. I completely agree with that, and thing the current sec of education is the most blatant personification of it you'll ever see.austrotard wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 9:40 pmthe bottom line is the US needs to educate its citizens.

I'm hoping the pendulum has swing out far enough to get folks riled up enough to see some obvious things- like our system is completely corrupted by money in politics, that both parties have benefited by the status quo. We need to people in DC, people willing to stand up and make real change, rather than belly up to the bar. We'll see if the electorate has the intelligence to make the choice that will get us there.

So you are cool with a white supremacist representing our country?
I'm just glad we got the ugly truth instead of that forced lie he read Monday.

Bill Clinton cheated on has wife and lied to the country then bullied and lied about the people who came forward, ruined their lives in the process.
Hillary is a walking/stumbling lie - Benghazi and her servers to name a few.
What Hillary did to old Bernie in the primaries was nothing more than bullying, lying and cheating. A real disgrace but classic Clinton behavior.
Will anyone go lower than Bill & Hillary to make a buck? Please.
Oh, and if you play golf, you cheat at it. Ask Barrack and Billy.
All things considered Trumps a far better person than Hillary. Not perfect but he's getting results and thats a very good thing.
The entirety of your defense rests on the fact that he isn't 3-4 people you dislike. This isn't exactly who you trust your country with. The golf analogy is completely lost on me.....who cares about golf in this context?
Your use of "person" rather than "politician" is also very telling. This shit is getting very real, and I am sad to see it.....I think back to the character assassinations of Bill C. and George W., what we have coming is going to be catastrophic......Roman empire type failure. Meanwhile, everyone keeps chanting and rooting, all the while, the walls are falling down upon them.

Trumps been in the public eye for 30, 40 or 50 years and no one ever accused him of being a racist. 15 minutes into announcing as a republican and suddenly he a racist and all thing bad.So you are cool with a white supremacist representing our country?
I'm just glad we got the ugly truth instead of that forced lie he read Monday.
Hey, if you got any proof I'm all ears.
