The bride and I are taking the camping thing in a new direction.
After spending an entire summer rehabbing an Alaskan slide-in camper four years ago, we're seriously looking into tenting it. It was a fun project, but the quarters are tight, and set-up/take-down is a PITA.
I could give a list of reasons, but they'd probably just bore you. What I'm most interested in is the experience of folks who already car camp. If you meet the following criteria, I'd like to hear your opinions please.
If you use:
Big (as is at least 8 foot by 8 foot by 6 foot tall) tent
Quality cots/mattresses for sore old bodies
Portable camp kitchen setup
Big vestibule on tent or separate cooking fly
...I'd be very interested in hearing your recommendations.
Thx,
KP
