Drift boat mod

Post by Windknotz » Thu Jun 27, 2019 11:03 pm

Fellow float fishermen

I have a 15' clacka with a bench rowers seat and front bench seat. I am interested in removing the bench up front and replacing it with a seat mounted on a cooler.

I think removing the bench will be straight forward as it sits on tracks and appears to just be bolted down

For the cooler, I think I will Fab up a base mount with some place to lash cam straps to the cooler.

Does anyone see any glaring problems that might come with removing the bench?

I think it will give the boat more of a walk through platform

All insight appreciated

Just cut a big hole where the bench is. Lay down a big sheet of plexiglass, that way your sports can see all of the fish they're not catching.
