Trip Report.

Heading north to meet up with Fly-chucker. And the weather looks great.

They called for 104 heat index with very little wind. What we got was a heavy sustained downpour and lots of lightning, 60 degrees with bone chilling winds.

Guess who did not bring their rain jacket? This is how you keep warm and dry with just a seat cushion folks. We had plenty of ice water but no hot coffee. Had to wait this one out for over an hour.

I think the weather made for quality over quantity with the fish though. When things finally broke we took advantage. Multiple big fish. My waterlogged friend finishing it all off with a new personal best.

Those pics in the rain don't do it any justice.

The sky was as dark as widow's dreams, and the rain was coming down so hard you couldn't see across the river. Spent an hour laughing, bailing and shivering. One of the best hours of my life.

You fellers did real good! I sat sweating my ass off in a hot deer stand helping my daughter shoot a good eating-size wild hog. She even managed to drop it so it wasn’t in the knee deep mud hole around the corn feeder!
