Ah Mark, Dog rest his soul. All he wanted for the river did largely come to fruition. It's a shame he didn't live to see it fully realized.

Interesting to note that snagging officially ended at the end of 1992. The point he was trying to make is that it was continuing and being ignored by the DEC. Mark was way ahead of his day from a conservation standpoint and a hundred years behind spiritually. It bothered him greatly to see the sad state of affairs in his backyard. He did his best to raise awareness and I can say that he had more impact than he realized.
