Cool, glad to see there's some interested parties. I think basing this thing outta Steamboat makes sense cuz it's spitting distance to a whole lotta world class fishing, and awesome Blue Grouse hunting can be found in the National Forrest surrounding. Another huge bonus is that this would not just b...

Anyone here interested in a Colorado Drake Bake? If so we could do it one of several times during the summer to coincide with some major hatches, or better yet.... labor day weekend to coincide with the start of small game season. Not just cuz I spend a frickin whole lotta time in them, but also cuz I have what scientific types like to refer to as a fucked up body. Imagine a creature so hideous that it posesses a 31 inch waist, a 36 inch inseam, and a ...

I had my dumbest moment on the yampa two years ago on my birthday (in late may). I drove up to the tailwater below Stagecoach to see if the BWO's were hatching, and sure enough they were. So I set up in the parking lot and hiked down to the river to find rising fish everywhere. Naturally, I selected...

I grew up spending the summers there, then lived there in 95/96, and went back for the summer of 01 to build a house for a friend there. Ever head up the duck lake trail? I've heard that since I was last up there the forest service went and improved the trail and now anyone and their brother can get...

If you've been watchin the end of your line all this time you've missed a hell of a lot more than "some" hookups. Even with an indicator I'd bet that a full third of all takes go undetected. I learned a killer indicator trick this past summer from a buddy of mine. He buys bags of the little waterbal...
