I've seen flies in fly shops that cost more than this whiskey.

But it's a good deal.

Not long ago my boss and I were having lunch at a local gastro pub. We sat at the bar next to 3 other guys we know and were eating at the bar. The other 3 gentlemen had been there a while and were drinking plenty with their lunch so they were feeling pretty good. One of the guys, Robbie, owns a travel agency and he was feeling pretty good. He tells the bartender to line up shots of Pappy Van WInkle 20 year for all 5 of us. I don't drink so I begged off but the 4 of them indulged and Robbie treated at $45 a shot. I've got to say, that Pappy 20 even smelled smooth, but freaking $180 for one round of shots.

Can't recall if we discussed this one already, but at 101 proof, it's not like I'm going to go back through this thread right now.

Spent the day on a river here in Maine and of course no fish were caught as we have none. That being said I think BM Barrelcooker had a good time. I know I did. He left me with several bottles of bourbon. One being Blanton's Single Barrel. Man is that shit smoooooooooth. I will be buying some in NH when I get low. Might be my new favorite.

They've had tips from near and far — it was rumored to be in a warehouse in Louisiana this spring, Melton said.
Ron or Ron, if either one of you guys got it bro let me know. I haven't heard/seen anything on this end of the state. :cool
