The local opened up on December 1st, but because it’s been so dry there’s been no reason to fish it. We got our first decent storm last weekend, and so I figured it was worth taking a drive.
Got up at 5:30, threw fatman’s long rod in the truck, and was on the water in time to see the sunrise.

The creek looked good: tannin-stained, but relatively clear. Unfortunately the King Tides had created a sand berm at the mouth. Figured since I was already here I’d practice my casting.
