Lots of my trips just seem to come up a few pics short of a full on TR, so I thought we could use a spot for such quick trips.

[report]My favorite valley opened up June 1st. Been running high but clear for almost a month, but of course it blew out my first night. Whatever, just happy to be back and fully enjoyed the beauty. Momma bear Little Siskiyou tuned 8 months on the river yesterday Sat and watched a side channel try and become the main channel. Pretty cool: Decided to move on before one of these trees turned sideways in the channel.
Ate well though Then things got a bit hazy as the moon rose. Good to be back on the home waters...[/report]

awesome timing there but as you say, great to be out anyway. i was home and didn't have that good of dinner!

The work flood finally has hit a lull for a minute at least, and my buddy Snag had invited me, and WNCPermit to do a smallie float on Sunday..I got up bright and early and rolled out..

Bambi was in the yard to say good morning..



Met up at the local meet up spot..coffee-ed up and headed north..



The river was looking great..





Permit got into a fair fish off the bat which cursed us to mediocre fishing for the rest of the float..





Despite the slow fishing we managed to get into a few and keep the skunk off..The take out was a little strenuous for my taste, but the weather was great..
