This was a particularly fun trip for me, as the group was comprised of a couple of old friends, and several new ones... friends from teh suck that I'd never met.
Everyone carried a cell phone (with a camera), and many had a regular camera as well... so, there are lots of photos from this trip.
Most fishing trips to fish in Argentina (unless you come through Chile) start in Buenos Aires... And, your stay there will probably include wandering around Recoletta, visiting the shops... ... the old cemetery... ...and it's many cafes and restaurants. My old friends, Dick and Dan left BA a day early to spend time in Bariloche, but the rest of us got together for dinner at my favorite parilla, and a night cap at the Plaza Hotel's bar. The place had been invaded by Brits, all of which had come for the Rolling Stones concert, a few days away.
The bar was rocking when we got there. Brits are funny... especially when they're in their cups and imitating Mick Jagger!
The following morning we hit the domestic airport and flew a couple of hours to San Martin De Los Andes... The drive to the airport was along and across some of the areas trout rivers, and we eventually arrived at San Huberto. Rooms are found, lunch is served, and a stroll around the lodge and its grounds makes everyone feel at home. Afterwards, everyone hits the river. The short drive is worth the time... Fish are spotted and cast to... Some are caught. I guess there's a function that will allow only so many attachments. Part two to follow...
