February can be a tough month, especially when you live in a northern state. So, it's particularly nice to dodge winter for a week or so to travel and fish with friends in Argentina.

This was a particularly fun trip for me, as the group was comprised of a couple of old friends, and several new ones... friends from teh suck that I'd never met.

Everyone carried a cell phone (with a camera), and many had a regular camera as well... so, there are lots of photos from this trip.

Most fishing trips to fish in Argentina (unless you come through Chile) start in Buenos Aires...

And, your stay there will probably include wandering around Recoletta, visiting the shops...

My old friends, Dick and Dan left BA a day early to spend time in Bariloche, but the rest of us got together for dinner at my favorite parilla, and a night cap at the Plaza Hotel's bar. The place had been invaded by Brits, all of which had come for the Rolling Stones concert, a few days away.

The bar was rocking when we got there. Brits are funny... especially when they're in their cups and imitating Mick Jagger!

The following morning we hit the domestic airport and flew a couple of hours to San Martin De Los Andes...

The drive to the airport was along and across some of the areas trout rivers, and we eventually arrived at San Huberto.

When we went down for honeymoonin we said lets do this every other year. In the years since reading your reports are as close as I have come.

Thanks for the stoke Bob. I just sent it to my wife and asked her how the empinanda recipe is coming... For Vday I slapped a paper Quilmas label on a 40oz bottle of PBR and we did cold cuts.

I have a twisted nature;I like to break rules. So, in accordance to my bent... I decided to dedicate my week throwing big flies for that one big brown. I've seen 30(+) fish, had them chase 10" rainbows to the net... I knew they were around. I figured it was just a matter of working hard and taking my best shot. In my minds eye... I could see a 32 incher crush my musky fly! Worth a shot?
