Once again I find, myself deficient in posting on this wonderful forum, after my failed attempt at the small mouth fly swap, I kinda drifted away…
My health has been sorta good …. I had a minor setback in September, but am on the road to getting better. My yearly trip to the MRI tube showed no new growth on the remains of the old tumor….but some minor growth on the tumor that showed up two years ago, though there seem to be no oblivious effects…so that is good….
I did not do as much fishing this year as I would have liked(but then, who does)….. I spent more time on my Photography and with my grandson….
Walking is getting harder and slower for me, and when you throw in uneven and slippery, wading becomes very intimidating.
Hence I pick my locations based on ease of access and the type of river bottom… but I still get out and beat the water to a froth and scare the fishes….
Usually I repost a Christmas eve sermon I wrote a while back but I think I will forego that this year.
All y’all are good folks…as I have said before, I consider myself blessed by your friendship and your kindness…..
May you all have a blessed holiday season, one full of joy and laughter.
For those who have an empty chair at the table this year may you find strength, courage and grace to get through this time of grief.
I would offer this “Christmas gift” suggestions:
To fellow who low holes you, forgiveness.
To the “guy” that shares the location of one of your favorite stretche of fishing stream with everyone he knowa, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart. and a refreshing libation….
To a fisherman who is having a bad day on the water, offer the fly that is working for you.
To your guide a don’t be “that guy” and leave them with a generous tip …..
To your “sport”, your best effort….
To the others in the boat…take an extra turn on the oars, or the push pole…
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.”

My prayer for all ya’all is for a stupendous new year.
May the fishes be feisty and willing.
May the weather always be favorable when you go out fishin’.
Fair winds and flowing seas
May your beer always be cold and your women at your side. (hot)
May your friends keep you honest and always have your back….
And may everything else be most excellent
Grace and peace be with you all
