You're going to want to break out a fresh razor blade for this one. Pretty short materials list.

hook - Dai Riki 320 #16
thread - UTC 70 tan
body - deer hair spun/clipped
wing - deer hair
legs - deer hair (wing butts)

Mash down barb, start thread at bend

Image

clean a clump of deer hair, trim tips; 2 soft loops, a little pressure, spin, and pack it

repeat 'till you've filled the hook; tie off and trim thead

Image

invert, lay razor blade on the hook eye and push straight back

Image

a few snips, a little bit more razor blade; re-start thread

Image

clean, stack, measure (tips to hook bend) a clump of deer hair; leave the butts a bit long

Image

tie in, let the butts flare; half hitch x 2, SHHAN

Image

trim butts on top and bottom, leave them flared on the sides
