Jellystone Nymph

kind of self-explanatory, right? We seem to have some impressive thread-wrappers that lurk around this board. let's try to keep your "first booger" posts at a minimum.

Jellystone Nymph

Post by pittendrigh » Sun Nov 23, 2014 11:22 am

Jellystone Nymph. Snipped from a bass tube and adorned with a few rubberlegs. This one is dimpled on a needle, slid off the needle and then attached to weighted hopper hook. Wrap the shank with lead. Flatten the lead wire with smooth face needle nose. Soak it with CA glue. Then tie on the soft flexy bass tube body. They do bite this fly. Like crazy. And once they bite they hang on and chew. That's the most interesting part. They'll swim 20' feet or more with the nymph in their mouths. Chewing as they go.

Just do a proper intro dude. The antagonizing pugilistic style greeting is old before you even thought of it.

Is that foam on a nymph? Brilliant.

I did (tell it to the advertisers). I'm working on it. I ran some perl screen scraping routines last night. There sure is a lot of Lord of the Flies stuff on this board. It wasn't hard to find. It's so common it's...actually the norm I think. I'll have to edit down to a few most inflamatory examples before I forward it on to the primary advertisers.

I'll just ask them if they think it's a good idea to have their names associated with this kind of behavior. What, if anything, they do about it is their business.

Seems like an awful lot of work for the same end result.

(Getting told to go fuck yourself)

Your fly sucks.

Hey Sandy - instead of trying to trash Tom Bie's business with your considerable influence in the industry, why not thow up an intro on the main page and show us what ya got? If yer boat plans will actually float something, you've got to have something you can try to contribute instead of being a whiny douchebag in the fly tying section. . . Or not. Your choice.

I realize you never get a second chance to make a first impression. I was just trying to give the fucktard enough rope to hang himself a third time, 'cuz I'm pretty God damned what to expect for his response. . .
