you lot could use a wee touch of civil war.
unless of course civil war means whining and signing on facesook nowadays.
No, we don't. The whole point of civilization and the design of an effective government is to avoid that end. The pendulum is swinging.
Do you still have those two things???
I heard the other day that there are an estimated 8000-10,000 people of the sort that showed upon Charlottesville in there privately acquired commando outfits. That doesn't bode well for them long term.

the bottom line is the US needs to educate its citizens.
you know, beyond the capabilities of just posting forwarded opinions on the web.
you'll say there's no class divide there but it is blatantly obvious there is.
if I keep you stoopid and afraid I can stand over you.
I completely agree with that, and thing the current sec of education is the most blatant personification of it you'll ever see.
I'm hoping the pendulum has swing out far enough to get folks riled up enough to see some obvious things- like our system is completely corrupted by money in politics, that both parties have benefited by the status quo. We need to people in DC, people willing to stand up and make real change, rather than belly up to the bar. We'll see if the electorate has the intelligence to make the choice that will get us there.
