Fiscally I'm pretty conservative, socially I'd mostly prefer people do what the fuck they want and not bother about it.

'I think what he meant was he is fiscally right.'
"yeah. well... I've yet to meet someone who isn't."
so what you'd like to do, from what you're stating, is that you want to hold onto everything that you've earned and consider yours.
but your next sentence contradicts the first as there's many who feel they deserve what you've earned and what you consider yours.
you cannot have it this way. somebody who is truthful needs to tell you lot this.
No, I understand that there are functions the government needs to perform, and they cost money, and I don't mind paying my fair share for it, but far too much is spent on bullshit. People who blindly say no to any and all taxes piss me off as much as people who think every tax is a Godsend. I little fucking discernment would be great.
My sentence regarding "Social Issues" is about just that, people being left to live as they want, it's not an endorsement of excessive "social programs" , you seem to confuse the two. I'm a bit of a constructionist, follow the fucking constitution. There may be some shit that I don't like, or that I think is even bad for society but that doesn't mean I want it "outlawed" or the government involved in it in any way. An overreaching government is far more dangerous than any of that shit.
Trump pisses me off because he's narcissistic, stupid, and anything but conservative. With every breath he tries to extend the powers of the executive branch which to me is the opposite of the conservative ideal of small/limited government. What pisses me off more than Trump are the sycophants who have abandoned any and all conservative principles (including the one that "Character Matters" that we were all screaming about when Clinton was getting blowjobs in the oval office) to cheer on every stupid fucking move this moron makes. I'll happily say when Trump gets something right, I think Gorsuch is actually a pretty good jurist, I'm glad he signed the tax bill, but he screwed the pooch signing the spending omnibus, the tariffs are going to be a job killing disaster for our country (and again conservatives are supposed to be for free markets), he has no regard for the constitution, which he demonstrated as soon as he started assaulting the first amendment by wanting a "Muslim ban", he's alienated our closest allies and is sucking the dicks of dictators, tyrants and despots (I bet Putin woke up with mud on his helmet this morning), and while I think illegal immigration needs to be addressed, separating kids from their families is just fucking barbaric.
And yes I think the POTUS should have some decorum and act Presidential, at least once in a while.
