We have tacos and tying night at the house every Tuesday, and Joe has been calling in to check on us weekly. Last night I didn't get a call.......I am a bit worried.
If my tombstone reads, "He never ate sushi." it won't be a lie, and I'll be OK with that.

Too much hobo spice and red wine before, during, and after my weekly lunch with the Old Man yesterday.

After which the recliner got the best of me.

I'll try to be more responsible next week.

I've been craving egg rolls lately, and ever since Cornholio went back to work I haven't been getting my monthly fix, so I decided to try and make some myself.

Found a recipe on the Google, altered it a bit, and then cooked up a pork, cabbage, and spice filling.

Bought some egg roll wrappers and then watched something semi-instructional on the You Tubes about how to roll them.

They looked nothing like Cornholio's egg rolls.

Took them outside and dropped them into some hot oil.

After cooking them, they still looked nothing like Cornholio's egg rolls.

Doused them with the secret sauce and gave them a taste.

I'm really looking forward to seeing him and getting the real deal next month.

Outstanding, but that shit ain’t egg rolls dude.
And that ain’t no confession.
That is Lumpia, I can smell it from here.

You can’t wish me away.
I stain the whole wash.
Like a big old old pair of red panties.
If you throw a party for fly fishing degenerates...
Sometimes the real deal will show its ugly face.

I don’t know why people go after Lando so hard.
Honestly he is one of the best people out there.
Quite possibly the best trout guide ever.
I am just a sore loser at times, I suppose.

I wish everyone the best, and I am about to put
My best foot forward.
And it involves Lumpia
Cheers.

elates: tomorrow I beat the pickney.

lates: same feeling I had from childhood, huh.

Joe called last night while the tacos were being made and he told me of his plans to drive to the Luau. Honestly, I think this is a wonderful idea for the Drake to get a trip report to end all trip reports. However, I don't think it is in Joe's best interest to drive because I am really looking forward to those egg roles.

And apparently a Thai pizza, as well.

I sobered up this morning and booked a flight instead.

But maybe next year.

Counter offer:

You and rampant fly into SFO and then drive my truck across the Nevada/Utah/Wyoming desert in late July (your winter) to the luau.

Shouldn't take more than twenty hours.

Reminder: You'll be driving a twenty-two year old vehicle with a manual transmission, no cruise control, no air conditioning, no GPS, a broken AM/FM radio, and a spotty service record. It does however get decent mileage, and you won't have to worry about speeding tickets because it's incapable of traveling faster than 100 KM/HR.

Unless it's raining.

But you knew that.

Should you decide to take me up on this most generous offer, I will leave something under the dash from the Horse Lady that will assist in making your journey most unmemorable. I'll even put some penicillin and a liter of Theraflu under the passenger seat. (Taps nose.)

Since I won't be driving with you, you'll be able to listen to whatever you like.

And should you arrive safely and on schedule, you can then pick me up at the Cody airport.

Win/Win.

Please confer with rampant and get back to me at your earliest convenience.
